Terms and Conditions

1. This Promotion is open to those aged 18 and over who are AVIS Preferred members and/or who make an AVIS booking between 1 October 2024 and 31 March 2025, excluding employees of the Promoter, its agents and anyone professionally associated with this Promotion.

2. Entrants must ensure that their participation (including acceptance of any Prize) is lawful in accordance with the laws of their country of residence. This Promotion is void where void under local national laws. The Promoter will not be taken to make any representations, express or implied, as to the lawfulness of any individual's participation, or as to any other aspect of any Promotion.

3. Internet access and a valid email address are required in order to enter.

4. Sign Up Period: Sign up to participate in this Promotion between 09:00 BST on the 1 October 2024 and 23:59 GMT on the 31 October 2024 inclusive.

5. To Sign Up: Visit www.avis-competitions.com/dlpcompetition/en/landing and complete the online form providing your details (full name, email address, country of residence and age) alongside answering whether you are an existing Avis Preferred Member and if you have an existing rental booking to sign up to participate in this Promotion.

6. Participation Period: Participate between 09:00 BST on the 1 October 2024 and 23:59 GMT on the 31 March 2025 inclusive.

7. To Participate: If you are not already an AVIS Preferred Member, visit https://secure.avis.co.uk/signUp and follow the instructions to create an account. If you would like to make a rental booking, visit one.avisworld.com/en_GB/Avis-DisneylandParis/?CID=Halloween24Competition and follow the booking steps. The booking must comply with the additional requirements in clause 8.

All valid AVIS Preferred Members who have completed the form will be entered into the Sliver Prize Draw. All valid AVIS Preferred Members who have made a rental booking will be additionally entered into the Grand Prize Draw.

8. Eligible Booking Details: The rental booking must be made between 09:00 on 1 October 2024 and 23:59 on the 31 March 2025, for any rental period up to and including 31 December 2025.

9. Maximum of one (1) entry is permitted per person into the Silver Prize Draw and one (1) entry is permitted per person into the Grand Prize Draw. No person may win more than one (1) Prize.

10. The Prizes:

a. Grand Prize: There will be a total of two (2) winners. Each winner will win 1 x trip to Disneyland® Paris for the winner and three (3) guests including:

i. One (1) night stay at the Disneyland® Hotel with breakfast;

ii. €500 travel allowance;

iii. Four (4) x tickets for the 2 Disney® Parks (valid for two days for two parks); and

iv. Four (4) x easy access to a selection of attractions (valid for 2 days).

b. Silver Prize: There will be a total of five (5) winners. Each winner will win the following for the winner and three (3) guests:

i. Two (2) day and one (1) night stay at one of Disney® Hotels (excluding Disneyland® Hotel) with breakfast for the winner and three guests; and

ii. Four (4) x tickets for the 2 Disney® Parks (valid for two days for two parks).

c. All prizes exceed the total value of €300.

11. Further Prize Details and Conditions:

a. Grand prize:

i. The accommodation includes a two (2) day and one (1) night stay (valid for four (4) people, including at least one (1) adult) in a standard room at the Disneyland® Hotel.

ii. The tickets are valid for the two (2) Disney® Parks for two (2) days.

iii. The easy access are for a selection of attractions in the Disney® Parks (valid for two (2) days).

iv. This prize does not include other expenses incurred by the winners during the stay, such as transportation, which will remain the responsibility of the winners.

v. The travel allowance will be sent to the winner via a bank transfer.

vi. The winner must have a valid bank account for a country of residence.

vii. It is the responsibility of the participant to provide their correct, up-to-date details when entering the Promotion and/or confirming acceptance of the Prize in order for their Prize to be processed. The Promoter cannot be held responsible for winners failing to supply accurate information which affects Prize acceptance or delivery of their Prize.

b. Sliver prize:

i. The Prizes exclude transport and the two-day easy access passes.

ii. The accommodation includes a two (2) day and one (1) night stay (valid for four (4) people, including at least one (1) adult) in a standard room at a Disney® Hotel among: Disney’s Hotel New York® – The Art of Marvel, Disney’s Newport Bay Club®, Disney’s Sequoia Lodge®, Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne®, Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe®, and Disney’s Davy Crockett Ranch.

iii. The tickets are valid for the two (2) Disney® Parks for two (2) days. This prize does not include other expenses incurred by the winners during the stay, such as transportation, which will remain the responsibility of the winners.

c. General Conditions:

i. The trip/stay must be booked and taken by 30 September 2025 (subject to availability). At least six (6) weeks’ advance notice of preferred date of stay must be given. The prize cannot be taken during the excluded dates listed below. Stays may not be booked for the following dates: Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

ii. Specified accommodation, restaurants, and tours are subject to availability at the time of booking. Alternatives may be offered depending on availability.

iii. Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

iv. All elements of the prize package must be taken as part of the same trip.

v. For the avoidance of doubt, the Prize does not include food, beverages, souvenirs, gratuities, excess baggage, additional excursions and attractions or any other costs of a personal nature (including spending money) that are not explicitly set out in these Terms and Conditions and neither the Promoter nor any provider of any part of the Prize will be responsible for any such costs.

vi. If a booking is cancelled by the winner, no alternative tickets will be issued and for the avoidance of doubt, no compensation and/or refund will be provided.

vii. Once tickets have been issued, the Promoter, will not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations caused by (but not limited to) weather conditions, fire, flood, strike, hurricane, industrial dispute, war, terrorist activity, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, illness of a performer or any other circumstances beyond the control of the Promoter.

viii. The winner and their guests must abide by any relevant terms and conditions which form part of the Prize. Whilst at the venue, they must not: be drunk, intoxicated, under the influence of drugs, underage, be abusive, threatening, make or incite racial abuse, chant, use offensive language, make obscene gestures, throw items, behave anti-socially, carry laser pens, bring animals (except guide dogs), carry offensive weapons or illegal substances, carry candles, climb any structure, make excessive noise, offer any item for sale, damage the venue or smoke. Failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions may result in refused entry, or the ticket holders being required to leave the venue.

ix. The winner is responsible for the behaviour of themselves and their guests whilst taking the Prize. The Promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to exclude the winner and/or their guests from participation in any aspect of the Prize if any party fails to comply with the directions of the Promoter or any companies associated with the Prize or if the winner and/or their guests act in a manner that is dangerous to themselves or to the public or is, in the opinion of the Promoter, anti-social in any manner or which causes a disturbance or nuisance to others. Failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions may result in refused entry, or the ticket holders being required to leave the event/venue.

x. The winner must inform the Promoter of any wheelchair or any similar access needs.

xi. The Prize will be forfeited if:

1. the winner has not obtained all of the proper travel documents by the date specified by the Promoter;

2. the winner has any immigration complications which prevent them from entering, leaving or travelling within France;

3. the winner has any medical, legal or any other reason that would prevent them from accepting and participating in the Prize.

xii. If the prize falls within school term time and any of the guests are still in school, the winner must provide (for each of the guests who are still at school) the Promoter with proof that their school(s) have agreed to allow them to attend the holiday. The guests’ school(s) must send a formal email or letter to the Promoter stating that they agree to allow the guest to take up the prize. The letter or email must be received by the Promoter within one week of request. Failure to provide this information may result in the winner and/or guests forfeiting their prize.

xiii. Travel insurance is not included.

xiv. The winner is solely responsible for any additional charges incurred at the hotel during their stay, including, without limitation, costs of meals, drinks, additional nights and services together with related taxes.

xv. A valid credit or debit card will be required to check in to your room and will be used to guarantee any incidentals such as in- room calls or services.

12. Winner Selection: Two (2) provisional Grand Prize winners and five (5) provisional Silver Prize winners (“provisional winners”) will be randomly selected from the relevant valid entries received during the Promotion Period. Avis will conduct a data wash to determine a final list of eligible potential prize winners. This will be conducted within 3 working days of the end of the booking/sign up period. For your total confidence, the Prize draw will be conducted within one (1) working day on establishing the full list of eligible entrants.

13. Winner Notification: Provisional winners will be contacted via the email address provided on entry within three (3) working days of Winner Selection and will be asked to provide evidence of identity and eligibility. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the provisional winners. Once eligibility has been confirmed, the provisional winners will be confirmed as a winner. If a provisional winner does not respond to the initial contact within three (3) working days, we reserve the right to disqualify that entrant and award the Prize to a reserve selected in the same manner. Reserve winners may have less time to respond.

14. Prize Acceptance: Notification to arrange fulfilment of the Prize will take place within three (3) working days of acceptance of the Prize. In the unlikely event that a winner has not received communication to arrange their Prize the winner must inform the Promoter by emailing avis.competitions@abg.com. If a winner does not do so, the Promoter reserves the right to not reissue the Prize or limit its value at its sole discretion.

15. Provided no objection is received from the winners, a winners list containing the surname and county of residence of the winners will be made available by the Promoter four (4) weeks after the close of the Promotion Period, for a period of eight (8) weeks. It will be available by sending a request via email to avis.competitions@abg.com. The winners can object to their details being published during the Winner Notification process. Without prejudice, the Promoter will provide winner information to the Advertising Standards Authority when requested by them.

16. The Promoter may request that the winners participate in publicity arising from the Promotion. Participation is at the winner’s discretion and is not a condition of Prize Acceptance.

17. The Promoter seeks to run a fair and secure promotion and prevent abuse and cheating. If you enter in a way that is not consistent with these Terms & Conditions, your entry (and any of your associated aliases) will be disqualified. Any Prize awarded may be void and recoverable, and the Promoter reserves the right to bar you from entering future promotions for a period of at least six months. For this reason, the Promoter reserves the right at any point to:

a. Verify the eligibility of entrants and/or provisional winners through multiple means by requesting such information it consider reasonably necessary for this purpose. Entry or a Prize may be withheld until verification is completed.

b. Disqualify entries that are not made directly by the individual entering the Promotion.

c. Disqualify entries made using anonymous email services such as, but not limited to, GuerillaMail, Dispostable or Mailinator.

d. Disqualify bulk entries from individuals, trade, consumer groups or third parties, incomplete entries and entries submitted by macros or other automated means.

e. Disqualify entries beyond the maximum allowed, or those using techniques such as ‘script’, ‘brute force’, masking identity by manipulating IP addresses, using aliases or identities other than their own or any other means.

f. Disqualify entrants who tamper with the entry process.

g. Disqualify entries which, in some other way, do not meet the requirements of these Terms & Conditions.

h. Cancel, modify or suspend the Promotion should it not be capable of running as planned for reasons including but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, dishonesty, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion.

18. The Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for monetary value or for any other form of compensation. If for any reason a Prize and/or any element of a Prize is not available, the Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion to substitute that Prize or element of the Prize for another of equal or greater value.

19. No responsibility can be taken for entries which are lost, delayed, corrupted, damaged, misdirected or incomplete or which cannot be delivered for any technical, delivery or other reason. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt. The Promoter does not guarantee continuous or secure access to any applicable AVIS website page.

20. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies are not liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this Promotion or accepting or using the/a Prize(s), except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. Nothing will exclude the Promotor’s liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.

21. The Promoter will not be liable for any delay or failure to comply with its obligations for reasons beyond its reasonable control arising from but not limited to Acts of God, global or regional epidemic or pandemic, adverse weather conditions, fire, industrial dispute, war, terrorist activity, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, plague or other natural calamities, or any other circumstances.

22. All personal data supplied for this Promotion will be used for the purpose of this Promotion and for research and analytical purposes by the Promoter and/or by any agent appointed by it to assist with running the Promotion. Personal data will not be disclosed to an unconnected third party unless your positive consent has been obtained. Your personal data will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy, available at: www.avis-competitions.com/dlpcompetition/en/terms.

23. If any part/s of these Terms & Conditions are legally ruled to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the remainder will not be affected and will continue in full force and effect.

24. By entering, you will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. These will be available for the duration of the Prize Draw at www.avis-competitions.com/dlpcompetition/en/terms or from the below Promoter address.

25. If there is a discrepancy between these Terms & Conditions and those in any promotional material, these Terms & Conditions will prevail.

26. These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law and their interpretation and application will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
