Our story
Started with one van and a lot of care
Queen City Movers began the way a lot of good things in Charlotte do — small. A single Sprinter van, a stack of moving blankets, and deliveries for the high-end furniture shops around town. Word got out that we treated other people's things like our own, and the van became a fleet.
Today we're a full-time, family-run crew serving the whole metro, but the rule hasn't changed: show up on time, quote it straight, and move it like it's ours. That's the Queen City way.

Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Queen City Movers is fully licensed, bonded and insured (US DOT 3948217, NC C-2887). We're happy to provide a certificate of insurance for your building before the move.
How far in advance should I book?
Two to three weeks is ideal, especially for end-of-month and summer dates when Charlotte demand peaks. That said, we keep room for last-minute moves — just call and ask.
Do you offer free estimates?
Always. You can get a quote over the phone in minutes, or schedule a free in-home or video walkthrough for a guaranteed flat-rate price on larger moves.
Can you move me out of state?
Yes — we run long-distance moves throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and nationwide on a single dedicated truck, so your load is never mixed with anyone else's.
What about heavy or specialty items?
Pianos, gun safes, treadmills, oversized art — our crews are trained and equipped for it. Just flag specialty items when you request your quote so we bring the right gear.
How do payment and tipping work?
We accept cash and all major cards, with the balance due on completion. Tips are never expected, but always appreciated by the crew.
